Requirements to volunteer

1. Must love cats.
2. Must have transportation to a volunteer site, or the equipment to volunteer remotely.

Adoption Counselors

Help us match each cat and kitten with the right forever home. Adoption Counselors staff our weekend adoption events — talking with potential adopters, handling initial screening, and walking families through the paperwork. We provide training and tools. This is a recurring opportunity for the right person.

Cat Care Technicians

If you love spending time with cats, this one's for you. Our cats need 2–3 visits a day for food, water, litter, tidying, and a little love and play. Each visit takes about 1–2 hours.

Shifts are available 7 days a week, morning (before noon) or late afternoon/early evening. Most volunteers pick one or two recurring shifts per week once they're trained.

Each location has its own volunteer form and coordinator — if you'd like to help at more than one site, please fill out the form for each.

Transportation

Help us move cats to vet visits, events, and new homes. A reliable car and insurance are required. Your time, vehicle, and gas are deeply appreciated.

Laundry

Clean bedding and towels are essential to cat care. Laundry can be done at home or at a laundromat — we'll coordinate pickup and drop-off at our Apopka or Winter Garden locations. Donated laundry supplies are always welcome.

Administrative Support

We need part-time volunteers at Candy's Cat Cottage in Apopka to help with day-to-day office work — proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is a plus. We also need hands for marketing, fundraising, and event planning at every level.
