We know this decision isn't easy. We're here to help you find the right path for you and your cat.
Before you surrender
Many people who reach out are facing temporary challenges — a move, a financial hardship, an allergy that might be manageable. We can sometimes help with food assistance, behavior resources, or short-term boarding so you don't have to give up your cat.
If surrender is the right choice
We are a small foster-based rescue with limited capacity. We prioritize cats with nowhere else to go. To request intake, please submit our surrender form below — we review every request, typically within a week.

Email intake@candyscats.org with your cat's name, age, medical history, behavior notes, and your situation. Photos help. We will reply as soon as we can.

- List your cat on Rehome by Adopt-a-Pet — free, peer-to-peer rehoming.
- Contact your local municipal shelter for immediate intake.
- Reach out to friends and family — most cats are rehomed through personal networks.
